Mongolia
Mongolia is a country in Central Asia bordering Russia to the north and China to the south. The country was the center of the Mongol Empire in tolvhndretalet, but was ruled by the Chinese Qing Dynasty from the late sixteen hundreds century until the water independence, with Soviet help in 1921.

Most of Mongolia's steppes, with mountains in the area north and west and the Gobi Desert to the south. Most of the population is nomadic Tibetan Buddhists from the Mongolian ethnic group.

The land was formerly known as Outer Mongolia to distinguish it from Inner Mongolia, a province in China.

Mongolia is located so far from the ocean you can get. As the country is sandwiched between the giant neighbors Russia and China, one thinks not that it actually spans three time zones. Mongolia has 3485 km border with Russia and 4677 km border with China.

Mongolia is now a parliamentary republic. In addition to being the world's 19th Mongolia's government is the world's second-largest landlocked country after Kazakhstan. The country has little arable land and consists mostly of steppe areas surrounded by Gobi Desert in the south and mountains to the north and west. Approximately 30 percent of the country's three million inhabitants are nomadic or semi-nomadic.

Mongolia is sunny with 220-260 sunny days per. years. The country has distinctly continental climate with long winter dominated by high pressure from Siberia. It falls little snow except in the mountains. Summer is short and dry with pleasant temperatures, and no rain falls in July and August.
