Kenya
Republic of Kenya is a country on the equator in East Africa. A large part of the land was formerly a British colony until 1963 under the name British East Africa. It borders Tanzania to the south, Uganda to the west, Sudan to the northwest, Ethiopia to the north, Somalia to the east, the Indian Ocean to the southeast.

Kenya's capital, Nairobi is situated at 1800 meters altitude.

Kenya has an abundance of wildlife and beautiful scenery which has made the country has developed as a tourist destination.

Kenya's major zoological reserves make it an obvious target for safari trips.

Kenya lies on the equator, and therefore lacks the large differences in temperature throughout the year. But the height difference means a part - both temperature and amount of rainfall. In mountainous areas in southwestern Kenya is the temperature comfortable at about 20 degrees year round. This area is however most of the country's rainfall. In the low-lying areas near the coast and in the north there is nothing hotter and it falls less rainfall, while in the low-lying areas near the coast and in the north there is something hotter, and less rain falls.
