Liberia
Liberia is a country located in the western part of Africa, it is bordered by Guinea, Ivory Coast and Sierra Leone. The official language is English. The name of the capital Monrovia comes from the American President James Monroe, while the country's own name means "land of liberty" in Latin.

The climate of Liberia is tropical. Winters are dry with warm days and cool nights. From December to March, the dry and saturated sand-Harmattan wind blowing from the Sahara. Summers are rainy and humid.

Liberia has golden beaches and blue lagoons lined with coconut trees, the largest rainforest in West Africa, and the rolling hills of coffee and rubber plantations. Although the country's tourism industry collapsed during the Civil War and has been slow to re-establish themselves, Liberia has much to offer the traveler looking to experience the pristine beauty of West Africa, while off the beaten track.
