Tunisia
Tunisia is an Arab state, and Africa's northernmost countries. It is bordered by Algeria to the west and Libya to the southeast. The southern areas of Tunisia (approximately forty percent) is part of the desert Sahara. In the north and north-east of the country has a 1,300 kilometer coastline of the Mediterranean Sea. Much of the land is desert is extremely fertile soil. The capital is Tunis located on the coast in the north-east.

Medina is the old town and called in Arabic al-Madinah.

One of the oldest attractions in Medina is Zitouna Mosque, which was rebuilt in the 800s on the basis of the ruins of the 600s. Nicely dressed Muslims can not be released into the garden, but not anymore. Close to Souq el-Attarine, which is a store that sells aromatic oils and spices.

Westward lies Youssef Dey Mosque, which was the first Ottomanbygde mosque in Tunisia erected in 1616. In close to Souq el-Berka, where slaves at one time was sold by Muslim pirates.

Atlas Mountains The eastern part dominates northern Tunisia.

Tunisia has a typical Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and mild winters, and it's winter most of the annual precipitation falls. There is usually little rain, but severe flooding can sometimes occur and cause major damage. The dry summers and warm desert wind from the Sahara can dry out the land, and even the most fertile areas are often affected by drought.
