Zambia
Zambia is a landlocked country in Africa, which borders Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. The country does not have a coastline, and was formerly Northern Rhodesia. South of Zambia is part of the Zambezi river, with the world's largest waterfalls, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe border.

To stand in front of Victoria Falls is an absolutely amazing experience. The rainbow occurs again and again in the cloud of water droplets and winds as colorful walkways over cascades of water. The deafening rumble spread in the body that millions of trucks on an eight-track highway. But here there are no cars. Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800s, called the waterfall hitting the "smoke that thunders". How sounds spilled water down over a 1.7 mile wide and 110 feet cliff into the depths of over 500 million cubic meters of water per minute.

Three major rivers run through Zambia - Zambezi, Luangwa and Kafue - and all are surrounded by large national parks that have been named after them. Lower Zambezi National Park and Kafue National Park are both worth experiencing for the abundant wildlife.

The town of Livingstone was once the nation's capital, but today it is Lusaka, the capital, a more hectic, modern and menneskemyldrende city where more than one million of Zambia's ten million inhabitants live. Not far from the beautiful Lake Kariba, where you can vacation on a houseboat, is also Wild Lives Game Farm, where several old ranch families have joined forces and created entertaining ranch shows. The site has camping and cabins, so it's easy to spend a day or two of vacation here.
