Port Douglas
Port Douglas is a town in Far North Queensland, Australia, about 70 km north of Cairns. The population will be doubled during the tourist season, may to september. The climate here is gorgeous, with sunshine and warm during the day and tropical nights. Port Douglas has two World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. The Daintree Rainforest is the world's oldest living rainforest. Here, an experience the untouched, tropical rain forest, safaris, climbing, scuba diving and snorkel with the turtles in the azure blue and crystal clear sea.

To a small beach village to be, so has the Port Douglas something to offer to most people. The city hosts a 10-day festival with food, wine and fun, major sporting events and art festivals, concerts and more shows.

The central shopping area is located on Macrossan Street, here there is a great variety, quality and volume. Souvenir shops and indigenous people with their arts and crafts sell their wares by the side of the designers.

On Port Douglas Sunday market, all the items that will be offered to be locally produced, the same applies in part for Mossman's markets.
